LA Times opinion piece: Bush did not lie about Iraq

I just got directed to the following opinion piece in the LA Times from Dennis Prager's radio show. The author (James Kirchick, an assistant editor of the liberal New Republic) points out what seems to be common sense to so many of us that Bush had bad intelligence before the Iraq invasion. He didn't purposefully mislead us into the invasion. A key paragraph that points out this distinction is the following:

"Yet in spite of all the accusations of White House "manipulation" -- that it pressured intelligence analysts into connecting Hussein and Al Qaeda and concocted evidence about weapons of mass destruction -- administration critics continually demonstrate an inability to distinguish making claims based on flawed intelligence from knowingly propagating falsehoods."

The piece is impressive in that its author is a liberal and that it appears in the LA Times. Bravo to the author and to the paper for running it.
