David Axelrod sounding desperate
I just watched Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace interviewing Obama's campaign director, David Axelrod. Axelrod was sounding pretty defensive. At least twice he brought up this ridiculous canard about how John McCain "really wanted to pick Lieberman or Ridge" but (and this is almost a direct quote) "was told he couldn't". Number one, how the heck does Axelrod or anybody else know who McCain really wanted to pick for VP? Number two, who exactly "told" McCain he couldn't pick Lieberman or Ridge? It's crazy.
Another interesting part of the interview was where Axelrod refused to give a "yes" or "no" answer about whether or not Sarah Palin had more executive experience than Obama. Clearly she does, but Axelrod wouldn't answer the question.
On that same show, the Karl Rove electoral college map looks scary in that it favors Obama, but I can't help but think that Obama is going to continue to put his foot in his mouth and that by election day that map will favor McCain.
