Ralph Peters on Obama's plan for combatting terrorism (such as it is)
Ralph Peters has a good column here with some good questions for just how Barack Obama would achieve some of the things he is promising to do. For example, Peters writes:
" This week, Obama claimed, again, that he'd promptly capture Osama bin Laden. OK, tell me how: Specifically, which concrete measures would he take that haven't been taken? How would he force our intelligence agencies to locate bin Laden? And he can't just respond, "That's classified.""
The stance that Obama has taken on returning to the law enforcement approach to fighting terrorism is, to me, especially ridiculous. Peters gets it just right by asking "should we send the NYPD to Mosul and Kandahar?"
Hearing Obama talk about this stuff is pretty scary. I just hope that the electorate starts to get involved and starts to pay attention about what this guy is actually saying instead of just be transfixed by vague statements about "hope" and "change".
