One step closer to bringing back the mammoth

Interesting story here about Japanese scientists cloning a mouse from a dead cell frozen for 16 years. They note in the story that this is the type of approach that might be attempted with mammoth tissue recovered from the Siberian permafrost. I 100% believe that we'll see mammoths brought back to life in my lifetime.
