Is this how the media will cover for the failure of the "stimulus"

I'm watching the Sunday morning news shows and have seen a few references to a Washington Post story (I'll try and track down the link later) that has the bottom line that the high job losses might blunt impact of the "stimulus" (spendulus) plan. Hellooo... wasn't the stated purpose of that monstrosity? To create jobs? To say that job losses will defeat the "stimulus" is kind of a non sequitor. So what is that story all about? I think it is two things. One, it provides cover for when the spendulus, inevitably, fails. Two, it sets the groundwork so that these bastards can foist even more pork barrel/payoff to Democrat constituency spending on us in a "stimulus 2" on us.
