Is there any better reason to not take the Copenhagen conference seriously?

There's a story here about how Hugo Chavez received "deafening" applause at the Copenhagen climate summit after saying things like "capitalism is the road to hell". I knew the people at that meeting were socialists, but there response to Chavez really leaves not a shred of doubt as to that fact.
