Safely disposing of nuclear waste

Good article here that describes a straightforward practical means of disposing of nuclear waste from nuclear power plants. The key to the plan is the fact that within 90 years (NOT 10,000), most (certainly not all and the waste is still dangerous) of the heat and radioactivity from the waste has decayed so the waste could be stored at interim regional facilities before being transported to a long term storage facility such as Yucca Mountain. Sounds like a good plan... it is time and past time to build some more nuclear power plants.
