Charles Krauthammer discusses the smoke & mirrors of Obamacare

As per usual, Charles Krauthammer hits the nail squarely on the head in his analysis of why Obamacare is (thankfully) floundering. Namely, that it has been premised on unrealistic assumptions and that the reality is that universal health care would vastly increase costs rather than decrease them as the President has been promising. He also points out that the gargantuan House and Senate bills don't even address the biggest driver of increased health care costs, as Krauthammer puts it, "the insane cost and arbitrary rewards of our malpractice system". Don't hold your breath on any legislation on tort reform to come from this Congress though since the Dems are basically in the pockets of the trial lawyers.
