Senate committee reaches compromise on NASA plans
The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation approved an authorization bill that would start development of a heavy-lift rocket in 2011, apparently keep work going on the Orion crew module, and get another shuttle flight next year. The bill does kill Ares 1 and cuts back on funds for commercial crew modules. We'll see. It might be a good compromise.
