enough with the Katrina coverage!!!

I usually enjoy watching the Sunday morning news interview shows, but it was painful this morning. The George Stephanopolis "This Week" show was ALL Katrina stuff. I turned on "Meet the Press" and there was that big A-hole, Mayor Ray Nagin so I couldn't deal with that. Thankfully, "Fox News Sunday" only had one Katrina - related interview. I guess all the "big 3" network (and more left-leaning) shows had all the Katrina stuff because that was one issue where the democrats actually got traction in attacking President Bush. So this one year anniversary gives them the opportunity to bring that stuff up and attack him all over again. Well, goody for them, but it makes for painful news coverage and I just wouldn't watch it. It was a news story a year ago, but now it is just political hacksmanship.

Even though "Fox News Sunday" only had one Katrina-related interview the other interview that they had was almost equally as painful because it was with phony-Joe Biden. What a weasel that guy is. Chris Wallace showed him stats about how the recent US/Iraqi initiative to target violence in Baghdad has actually been pretty successful with violent attacks in Baghdad down 40% in August from what they were in July. Chris Wallace asked Biden "so do you think these trends will continue?". Biden responds "I pray that they do", as Laura Ingraham would say: "Lie of the day!" If the situation in Iraq improves, the democrats lose an issue and that's the last thing they want. Biden went on to yak and yak and yak about how bad things were in Iraq. Man! How can the people in Delaware keep electing that guy?
