Obama's science advisor: apparently a pseudo-Luddite

I wasn't too familiar with Dr. John Holdren who Obama has appointed as his science advisor. Apparently the guy is a pseudo-Luddite. He is one of the people who buys into the whole limits to growth / scarcity argument and was in league with Paul Ehrlich who was a famous proponent of the Limits to Growth point of view...
