Cinematic Captain America will not be a "jingoistic flag waver"

Marvel is making a Captain America movie. The movie is in production now, but here is a story that the director says: "he's not this sort of jingoistic American flag-waver". In other words, Captain America in the movies will be a good Liberal who is promoting social justice but not all that icky American exceptionalism stuff. Good grief. Can Hollywood not give us just one film that promotes a positive view of America???
