Speaking the truth about Christine O'Donnell
I'm really irritated that I haven't been able to listen to some of my favorite talk show hosts (Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin) for much of this week because they've all been over the top with the issue of Christine O'Donnell and the Delaware Senate race. If they haven't been too over the top, some of their callers have been. I just don't understand how these folks can be getting on the case of Karl Rove and Charles Krauthammer just because those two gave their honest personal opinions that Christine O'Donnell will probably lose that Senate race while Mike Castle would have won it. Would the talk show hosts and some of their callers rather have Rove and Krauthammer lie and not give their honest opinions? Look, I agree with Rove and Krauthammer. I think O'Donnell is too far on the right to win in Delaware. She's further to the right on social issues than I am and I consider myself a conservative. Now that she has won the primary, I hope that O'Donnell does win the Senate race, but I think the odds are against her.
BTW, Pete Wehner has a good column "In Defense of Karl Rove" here.
