Bringing back the wooly mammoth

There's a good article here on a study in which researchers sequenced the gene map of mummified woolly mammoth using DNA from its hair. The study shows that the mammoth was very closely related to living elephants. This could make it easier to potentially bring back the mammoth by elephant-mammoth gene splicing... cool!
