Mars Science Laboratory rover mission delayed to 2011

A story here that the launch of the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) rover mission has been delayed from 2009 to 2011. This is bad news on a number of fronts- one, that it will delay any science return from the mission and, two, that it will increase the overall cost of the mission by something like $400 million- probably impacting other Mars programs.
